Choosing a harness manufacturing partner is choosing a set of capabilities — engineering, process, testing and documentation — that determine whether your project ships on time and stays reliable in the field. This page summarizes what Kaweei offers across those capabilities, as a practical map for customers evaluating us.
Engineering Support Before Production
Most projects arrive as somewhere between a sketch and a finished drawing. Our engineering team handles the full range: turning schematics into wire schedules with gauge calculations (thermal and voltage-drop), selecting materials by zone and environment, proposing connector systems and sealing strategies, and providing DFM feedback that reduces cost without touching reliability. Where a customer needs design validation, we support prototype iterations with measured feedback rather than guesswork.
Prototyping with Production DNA
Prototypes at Kaweei are built with the same tooling discipline as production — calibrated crimping, proper terminations, documented construction — because a prototype that only works by hand-built luck misleads everyone. Prototype turnaround is measured in days, with changes fed back into drawings for production release.
Production Capabilities
- Automated wire processing: cut, strip, crimp and mark lines with per-setup verification — the consistency backbone for every volume program.
- Connector process range: from small-pitch JST families to sealed automotive systems, M12/M8 circulars, and high-current lugs and terminations.
- Special processes: overmolding for sealed assemblies, ultrasonic welding for high-current and battery interconnects, shielded constructions with 360-degree termination.
- Zone-rated constructions: engine-bay heat materials, PUR flex-rated cables, waterproof builds to declared IP targets.
Testing and Documentation
Every assembly ships after 100% continuity and hipot test; programs add milliohm recording, pull-force sampling, shield continuity and — for sealed and high-speed assemblies — leak and signal-integrity verification. Documentation travels with the product: first articles, test records, per-lot traceability and change-controlled drawings.
Industries Served
Industrial automation and machine tools; automotive and new-energy including high-voltage constructions; medical equipment harnesses with cleanliness and traceability requirements; appliances and consumer devices at volume; energy storage and solar applications. Each industry's requirements are mapped into the process rather than handled as exceptions.
How to Start
Send a drawing, a schematic, or even a photo of an existing sample to our engineering team — the RFQ response includes technical questions, construction confirmation and pricing.
